As a punishment, he will have to fight in the arena with various opponents. In the course of events, the protagonist will have to find out who is behind the setup, for which he will be able to move around the locations and communicate with various characters. Also, he must improve his combat skills and improve weapons to have a better chance in battles with any opponents.
